handmade purple eco rug

Hi its absolutely beautiful here today,
sunlight streaming in through flung open windows : )

I’ve finally got round to taking some pics of
another little handmade rug I’ve recently made.

approx size - 31 ½ X 16 inch

It’s made the same way as this one and this one..
except there was no knitting involved,
instead I used the sleeves that were left over
from a purple chenille cardigan, who’s body made a
nice snug soft cushion, and the sleeves
from a black chenille cardigan.

As with the other little rugs its completely hand-sewn
no machine involved, and all the fabrics are from
various recycled items of clothing .

I’m quite pleased with how its turned out.
I love purple so am very tempted to keep it,
but we kept the first two and I’d started this
with other intentions… so away it goes.........

It's hard to give away one's art isn't it! I struggle with my pictures and want to keep most of them..

ouuu I LOVE it! found you through Talie's blog :)
I've always wanted to sew and create my own things... and I have a growing pile of holey or non-wearable clothing...
Many Blessings, I'm off to explore more of your site!

thanks Jasmine :)
i find it quite theraputic sitting sewing and with it being hand done its easy picked up and put down.. a little bit here and a little bit there...

strange the posts didnt show.. just lately i'm finding no updates and then some show up and says its been there days or weeks??
