a moments encounter..

We have stopped for a moment to encounter
each other, to meet, to love, to share.
This is a precious moment, but it is transient..
It is a little parenthesis in eternity.
If we share with caring, lightheartedness
and love, we will create abundance and joy
for each other. And then this moment..
will have been worthwhile.

Deep Within..

Druid's Circle.. Penmaenmawr...

You know quite well, deep within you,
that there is only a single magic,
a single power, a single salvation...
and that is called loving.
Well then, love your suffering.
Do not resist it, do not flee from it.
It is only your aversion to it that hurts..
nothing else.

handmade purple eco rug

Hi its absolutely beautiful here today,
sunlight streaming in through flung open windows : )

I’ve finally got round to taking some pics of
another little handmade rug I’ve recently made.

approx size - 31 ½ X 16 inch

It’s made the same way as this one and this one..
except there was no knitting involved,
instead I used the sleeves that were left over
from a purple chenille cardigan, who’s body made a
nice snug soft cushion, and the sleeves
from a black chenille cardigan.

underneath

As with the other little rugs its completely hand-sewn
no machine involved, and all the fabrics are from
various recycled items of clothing .

close up

I’m quite pleased with how its turned out.
I love purple so am very tempted to keep it,
but we kept the first two and I’d started this
with other intentions… so away it goes.........

Moontime

Ah! today I feel a little space has opened up..
amongst the depths of my darkest soul shadows!

Sitting with yesterdays emotions was good for me..
and I feel like an old friend has been with me
guiding me to acknowledge my worth..
subtly reminding me not to listen
to the clawing doubts.. egos whisperings!

..and I Thank You :)

It's that time of the month again
when the moon darkens and renews..
beginning her journey to fullness…

♥ Enjoy yours…

Hi how are you on this fine day?
We've got sunshine here today... a bit of a nip in the air, but it keeps me awake :)

I've finished another couple of cards and listed them in my little Misi shop
..they are smaller than I usually make them, quite liking this size!
although they didn't turn out as I imagined...

card size approx - 6 ¼ X 4 ½ inch

look again in your heart,
and you shall see that in truth
you are weeping for that
which has been your delight.

Midnight..

O wild and wondrous midnight,
There is a might in thee
To make the charmed body
Almost like spirit be,
And give it some faint glimpses
Of immortality.

Simplicity...

When we let go of yearning for the future,
preoccupation with the past,
and strategies to protect the present,
there is nowhere left to go but where we are.
To connect with the present moment
is to begin to appreciate
the beauty of true simplicity.

Lavender~Milk Cleanser

Make-up Remover

I've been trying a new homemade cleanser, instead of using mint, I decided to try lavender and milk with some of the lovely lavender I was given recently.

1 small cup (or just over half a mug) of full fat organic milk
1 heaped tbsp lavender flowers

Mix the lavender and milk together, and bring to the boil in a small pan.
Then remove from the heat, and cover the pan with a lid or small plate and leave to cool.
When cooled strain the lavender out with muslin/fine cotton or a fine tea strainer.

Put the lovely home made cleanser in a bottle.. glass is best :)

Apply liberally to face with cotton wool.
This is also excellent for removing make-up and is very gentle on the eye area.
Rinse the face with lukewarm water afterwards and pat dry.

This wonderful homemade cleanser usually lasts about a week if kept in the fridge.

Milk contains lactic acid which is a gentle exfoliant, its also a good source of vitamins A & D.. so nourishes the complexion, and is a wonderful soother for dry, itchy skin.
Lavender has wonderful cleansing and toning properties! It’s very soothing and calming, especially good for sensitive, dry or irritated skin, it’s great for soothing red inflamed skin and is an excellent wound healer with its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, so is good for any of those monthly outbreaks too!

It also smells divine and is such a gentle, natural, pleasure to use ♥

Give it a try... if you do try it I’d love to hear what you think!

Thank you Sue for this beautifully made and soulfully sent little gift.

Now.. after pondering.. ‘to pass it on.. and who to? There are so many wonderful honest blogging shift sisters out there, whose blogs I either follow, have commented on or just read, not to mention the ones I haven’t had the pleasure to come across yet!

So for now I’d like to pass the gift on, in the spirit in which it was originally intended by Sue - "Please accept this Award in the spirit in which it was intended. Feel free to take and use the picture and do with it what you will. (She Grins) You can add your own reasons for awarding someone it if you pass it on, you can add links to your blog, you have no obligation at all, I just wanted to let you know that you are one helluva Honest Blogger!” to:-

..souly : ) because she was one of the first female blogger interactions I had, who’s blog touched and inspired me with her gentle honesty and humour.

For other Honest Bloggers.... and there are many out there, please feel free to take the award either for yourself or someone else, the choice is yours. Leave a comment here and or link at the end of this post....so others can celebrate your or their Honesty!
