Choice...

The society teaches you, "Choose the convenient, the comfortable;
choose the well-trodden path where your forefathers and their
forefathers and their forefathers, since Adam and Eve, have been
walking. Choose the well-trodden path. That is a proof ~ so many
millions of people have passed on it, you cannot go wrong."

But remember one thing: The crowd has never had the experience
of truth. Truth has only happened to individuals.

Whenever there are alternatives, beware: Don't choose the convenient,
the comfortable, the respectable, the socially acceptable, the honorable.
Choose something that rings a bell in your heart. Choose something
that you would like to do in spite of any consequences.

Gratitude - a small thread for the blanket...

for the dawn of a new day...

"Give thanks for unknown blessings
already on their way."

~Native American saying

this post is in repsonse to Laura's post over at
it is a little late but i wanted to send some love and respect your way.........

this gratitude goes out to all of life,
to all souls out there...
known and unknown, for
the life breath shared on..
and in this beautiful world of ours.....

O Great spirit of our Ancestors, I raise my pipe to you;
To your messengers in the four winds, and
to Mother Earth who provides for your children.
Give us the wisdom to teach our children to love,
to respect, and to be kind to each other,
so that they may grow with peace in mind.
Let us learn to share all good things that
you provide for us on this Earth.

~Native American Prayer for Peace

silent light..

Below is a pic from Llangelynin Old Church, in North Wales.

It's a place we love to go for an easy stroll on a quiet day.
While up here I always have a silent seat in the old church..
don't know what it is about the place but I find it very soul soothing..
on this particular day the light coming in through the tiny window
was smiling in the shadow of its depth, so breathtaking
I wanted to try and capture it :o) only having my mobile on me,
i used that.. not expecting much..
to my delight, on this rather grainy little photo
that beautiful white light had been captured as pink,
showing me that everything isn't exactly as it seems..
to look beyond.........
Is this why the old place fills me with such peace? ..enveloped in soothing pink abundance..

have a beautiful day among the silent light of your world..

Your inner world has its own taste,
has its own fragrance, has its own light.
And it is utterly silent.

the promise of tomorrow

The promise Creator gives us
Comes with every new day,
The gift of breath, the gift of life,
Opportunities in a vast array.
How do we count our blessings,
Through the choices life can bring?
Is it through joyful lessons?
Or the fears to which we cling?
Are we learning to show gratitude,
For the victories over human pain?
By honoring the feeling choices,
We grasp the will we've regained.
Can we change our focus,
With no need to defend?
Acknowledging joy and sorrow,
Without judging foe or friend?
Tomorrow promises the fullness
Of every human way to know:
How we master each challenge..
Determines our balance ~
reflecting how we grow.

The Promise of Tomorrow
