illusion ~
We begin life with the world presenting itself to us as it is.
Someone - our parents, teachers, analysts - hypnotizes us
to ‘see’ the world and construe it in the ‘right’ way. These
others label the world, attach names and give voices to the
beings and events in it, so that thereafter, we cannot read
the world in any other language or hear it saying other things
to us. The task is to break the hypnotic spell, so that we
become undeaf, unblind and multilingual, thereby letting
the world speak to us in new voices and write all its
possible meanings in the new book of our existence.
Be careful in your choice of hypnotists.

ahh, the process of awakening anew every day...all day long!
beautiful photo.
hello lovely..thanks for popping in tis always nice to see you:)
..yes i keep having to gently remind myself to open..xx
excellent composition!!! congratulations!
How very true. And it also says something about the way art can transcend this and let us see things in new ways. Van Gogh's rustic old chair, for example, is so much more than a chair. I like the photo. It's a coincidence, because I took a similar photo while in Wellington recently

Perhaps we have a similar view of the world?
i thinks perhaps we do:)
thanks for the link, great photo i really like it. it's so much more whole and hmmn..real i guess, with the meatlwork..without it it would be just another stretch of grey road in a city. had a peak at the others too. pretty skies, i like the tile in the circular stonework..and love the wet sparrows.
Thanks! Those wet sparrows were so cute. I took lots of photos and that one was the best, though I think a tripod would have helped. I love taking photos of the sky - inspires me every day. I'm trying to make a collection of one pic a day for a whole year.
