I love the doodles, and the reference to "imperfections". Life for me tends to revolve around trying to iron them out, which is why creativity has been such a struggle in the past.

I'm reminded of a quote from a favourite TV show - a Canadian gem called "Slings and Arrows" about a theatre festival. A young movie actor is drafted in to play Hamlet to get some celebrity kudos into the theatre. He's bemoaning the fact that you only get one chance on stage to "perfect" something whilst on film you get dozens of takes. The director replies "Forget about perfection. There's nothing more boring than perfection. Imprecision and fear are what gets them to their feet".

Shell its all true:o) have been using the lemon, tea tree and coffee grounds as a hand soap..tis bloomin wonderful. hey saying that you made my day as well.. xx

Jan, i always used to try and iron them out as well (arent we just products of the environments/societies we grew up in to arrive at that mindset?). i've been considering this stuff alot of late, noticing things.. am only just beiginning to 'really' accept and see the natural beauty of imperfections, in reality absolutely nothing is perfect, is it? yet we burn up so much energy striving to try to achieve the impossible :/ tis crazy!

i've been the same in the past too, with regards to creativity..i think it's just starting to flow with more ease now as i'm learning to let go of that need/want for perfection. was just remembering how i used to try and draw the likes of faces with perfect symmetry..not achieving it..feeling frustrated and giving up cos it wouldnt flow..too much in my head at those times methinks:o)

great quote:) and so very true. gravitating towards something that we perhaps all inherently feel..a recognition of all our humanness.

xx
